George Santos lied about his achievements, but he is not alone.
George Santos lied about his achievements, but he is not alone.

With a very slim majority in the new Congress, Republicans are ripe for the picking. Democrats are out for blood, and like pack hunters, will cut off the weaker members from the herd and try to take them out. Their target: George Santos.

This story is saturated with irony. George Santos, while campaigning, had stated several things about his past that have turned out to not be entirely accurate, to put it “nicely”. For lying to the people about himself, Democrats are foaming at the mouth and demanding that Santos resign, or that the GOP expel him; the same crap they pulled on Marjorie Taylor-Greene (MTG) when she got into office. The difference here is that, unlike with MTG, who was removed from committee positions without any kind of fight from Kevin McCarthy, the GOP is now (or will be) in the majority come January, so the Democrats cannot have their old fossil friend Nancy Pelosi bar him from committee assignments.

George Santos flipped a blue seat in New York, something that he failed to do in 2020. This in and of itself is impressive, and is the real cause for the Democrats’ ire. Lets face it, folks, if lying was such a grievous sin—lying is an actual sin, of course—which merits removal from office, then pray tell why the hell is Elizabeth Warren still in office? Or killer clown Joe Biden? Or Adam “I have secret evidence” Shiff? Or Mitch McConnell? Or Eric “wind breaker” Swallowswell? Or Ilhan “brother-humper” Ohmar? Or the insufferable Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez? You get the point.

Senator Elizabeth Warren, affectionately known as Faux-cahontas, lied during the better part of her career, both private and public, about being a Native American. She checked this ethnicity option in college admission forms, as well as financial aid and job applications. She would then claim to be a Native American while campaigning for office. Many people did not buy her line of sitting bull, and they were in turn called racists by the Democrats. For many years, the demand for Warren to prove she was a Native American went answered with what amounted to a pseudo-racist reply: “Look at my cheekbones.” She finally took a DNA test, which proved she is 1/1024 (0.098%) parts Native American. I might be more black than she is Native American.

Santos claimed he was Jewish. Now, I do not know if he went whole-hog on this lie like Warren did. Even if he did, his actions cannot now be condemned by the very people who ignored Warren’s behavior, and accused us of racism for not believing her. Now that the tables have turned, can we say those who doubt Santos’ Judaism are antisemitic? Probably not, since Santos has already admitted he lied about being Jewish. Warren, however, has yet to admit she lied. She claims ignorance to this, that her family told her she was Native American. Her parents, who are supposedly the ones who told her she was, were long dead, so they cannot not be asked to verify her claims; hence we will never truly know whether she has yet again lied to us. However, if Santos must resign for lying about being Jewish, then Warren must resign for lying about being Native American. Fair is fair.

Joe Biden, while running for president back in the 80s, got caught lying about his education. He stated he had graduated top of his class with three degrees and some other nonsense. Turns out the moron was at the bottom of his class, and had only one degree. He also plagiarized a lot of content in his stump speeches. This derailed his presidential bid back then, but he was not forced to resign his Senate seat for lying to the people about how smart he was. This idiot would then go on to tell many lies, most notably (and recently) about his uncle being injured in World War II. The Army has not responded to media queries about Uncle Frank’s service during World War II, or at least to the New York Post’s request for details. He also claimed not having any knowledge about his son’s (Hunter’s) business deals, something that emails in the infamous “laptop from hell” prove to be false. Biden is a national security nightmare, yet he is allowed to retain the office he stole. In fact, the media is going out of their way to protect this moron by saying the laptop is not a big deal; this is a marked improvement over their first attempts to dismiss the laptop as “Russian disinformation.”

George Santos lied about graduating from Baruch College, something which Dinesh D’Souza rightfully questions as to why anyone would do; Baruch is not a “prestigious” college.

He also lied about working for several financial institutions. He has since clarified that he worked for a company that had dealings with said financial institutions. Santos, as far as anyone can tell, does not have a crack-addicted son flying around the world making questionable deals with foreign powers, selling access to Santos, and handing off “10% to the Big Guy.” But if Santos must resign for lying about his education and work experience, then killer clown Joe Biden must also resign. Fair is fair.

These are just a few examples (less than 1% of 1% of 1% of 1% ad infinitum) of the plethora of lies and controversies Democrats have found themselves in, with their media lapdogs going on overdrive to sweep under the rug. Do not be fooled. This feigned outrage is just politics. Santos is a freshman member of the House, he is politically weak and not well connected. The GOP majority in the House is very slim. He did some “dumb things,” as Biden famously said back in the 80s. The question is, will he continue to do “dumb things” like Biden? Did Santos do what he needed to do in order to win? It is not like this information could not have been verified during the campaign. There are two options here: Either the people in his district knew he was lying, did not care, and voted for him anyway, or he successfully fooled them. If it is the latter, then the people will have a choice in two years: vote him out or re-elect him. For Democrats to be “upset” that a Republican managed to successfully use the same tactics they use is just politics as usual. Santos should stay where he is. Lying is part of politics, and as much as we want people with integrity in office, the sad fact is that politics is a dirty endeavor, so we should not be surprised when people come out looking like they just crawled through three miles of excrement.
